We don't need clanging symbols that deafen the ears
It's a agony of a child being restraint for the removal
and stick of her blood to flow not in the veins
but in a plastic tube that causes stress.
Good intentions flow from the state
but the path is leaving behind droplets that stain
creating tears more than the answer they are searching.
Poking at the tiny arms that can barely hold a hug
a hand that is just learning to sign milk, bye, thank you
is marked with a bruise four times in two arms.
Something is wrong when the perfume of spilled blood
marks their day of hours at the lab.
The little ones are not meant to bleed, but too
expel the spirit of the innocent! @ Sharon E Hannan
